Varnishing Embossing / Debossing

By coating a chemical fluid on top, texture and visual appearance of the printing material can have different effects. Varnishing can create glossy, matte, or a semi-glass effect on the print surface, giving an impact and shows high quality result. Apart from varnishing on the whole page, the process can also be done on a selected area.

Pressing a design into the material, which lifts or lowers part of the surface area and creates a 3-Dimensional texture. The technique helps drawing attention from a flat printed out-put material, and makes the publication stand out.

Different Types of Varnishing

Lamination

Gloss Varnishing

Lamination means bonding of a material (or more) together with the print, which is usually a transparent layer. It gives the product protectionas well as improving its appearance with a more polished look.

Comparing with regular varnishing, lamination usually works on products the are flat and should be done on both sides of the material, while vanishing usually applies only on a single side or specific areas.

Hot Stamping

Without using ink, hot stamping uses heat and pressure to bond a colored foil onto the surface. Different foils create different improvements to the appearance, which makes it look glamorous. It can be applied to different surfaces including papers, packagings and larger platforms.

Matt Varnishing
A non-glossy coating which smoothen the surface and increase readability. Suitable for publications with a lot of text.
Spot Varnishing
Varnishing on a selected area can make it stand out, used for logos and special contents.
UV Varnishing
UV varnishing requires the use of different coating chemicals and machinery, by drying the fluid through an ultraviolet lamp and creating several layers. Compare to regular varnishing, UV varnishing gives an even better exclusive appearance.
